Meet Dr. Darius James, the new biology and forensics teacher for high school!
Throughout his life, Dr. James has always been passionate about teaching and writing; he especially wanted to teach in an environment where he could fully express his faith in God. Dr. James’ two sons attended WEE School, and he instantly fell in love with Carmel Christian School. So, when a job opened at CCS to become the biology and forensic science teacher, he jumped at the opportunity. Dr. James really loves that he can use the Bible and pray freely in his classes at CCS. When asked about his history with education, Dr. James said, “Formerly, I was a part of public education, so I wasn’t able to freely just share Jesus. But, here I’m able to incorporate Jesus.”

Before Dr. James came to CCS, he held many interesting jobs, including serving as a college pastor, teaching science in a summer program, and working in computer science education for a non-profit organization. Dr. James also has a doctorate in education. CCS is his calling, and he feels blessed to be granted this new opportunity to become the biology and forensic science teacher.
Some fun facts about Dr. James: he loves chewy candies like Starburst and gummy bears. He is a published author; one of his books is called Daniel’s Missiles. Dr. James is also vegetarian, and he loves museums and nice walks. When asked if he had any pets, Dr. James replied, “I have two fish and two snails that, if they don’t make it tomorrow, I will not complain, but, by force, I have those as pets.” Dr. James explained his two sons loved pets, but he was not so fond of them.
Welcome to the CCS family, Dr. James!
