Meet Bailey Jones, the new second grade teacher!

Although this is Mrs. Jones’s first year at Carmel Christian School, she has seven years of teaching experience, which she acquired before moving here from Dallas. Mrs. Jones is an excellent addition to the Carmel community as she brings experience and enthusiasm. Mrs. Jones shared that she was grateful for the opportunity to join Carmel, explaining that her connection with the Carmel soccer team—especially Coach Fox—helped open the door, and she felt the position was the perfect fit for her.
Mrs. Jones went to college at Gardner-Webb University, a small Christian school where she played soccer at the Division 1 level and where she discovered her love for both learning and athletics. During her time in college, she also met her husband, who played golf at the school. After college, the two of them settled in Texas, before moving to Charlotte when her husband was offered a job.

Mrs. Jones plays on the field at Gardner-Webb University, where she carried her passion for soccer into college. She loves the community that Gardner-Webb provided for her, as well as the opportunity to continue to play her sport competitively.
Growing up in Dallas, Mrs. Jones described her childhood as very exciting and full of activity. She spent a lot of time playing soccer, was a part of a large church community, and noted that “everything is bigger in Texas,” specifically Buc-ee’s and large open fields. Her love of sports has continued throughout her life; she is currently training for a half marathon, running dozens of miles every week.
Outside of teaching, Mrs. Jones loves to read, bake, and cook. She and her husband love their dog, Rookie. Despite only being at Carmel for a short time so far, Mrs. Jones noted that she feels “blessed to be a part of the Carmel community,” and she is appreciative of the warm welcome and the sense of family that Carmel provides.
