Kevin Perez, a current senior, has been at Carmel since the very beginning of his high school journey. Perez originally attended CCS starting in 5th grade, but left and eventually returned his freshman year. In terms of how he ended up where he is, Perez was drawn to the school for both the academics and the elite soccer team.

When it comes to his experience at Carmel, Perez states, “I’ve had a great Carmel experience and had fun times on the field.” Despite his excellent athletic performances at CCS, Perez states that the best part of being at Carmel were the friendships that he has built throughout the years.
During his free time, Perez loves to play soccer. Perez describes his family as one that has always been heavily engaged in the sport, which eventually led him to pick it up in the early years of his childhood. As one of the star players for the team, Perez can be commonly seen playing on the field.
When it comes to his experience with CCS soccer specifically, Perez has both been positively impacted, as well as made a positive impact on others. The biggest highlight for him was making it to and winning the state championship his freshman year.
Despite how much fun soccer can be, it doesn’t come without its tough losses. The CCS team was defeated by Rabun Gap last year, as well as Perez’s final game for Carmel against Country Day. However, Perez still looks back on his sports career in a positive light. “I think I’ve made some really good friends that I have helped push to be the best they can, and vice versa,” Perez states.
When he’s not scoring goals against the other teams on the soccer field, Perez can be found in the high school hallways of Carmel Christian School with a smile on his face. Many describe him as a chill person to talk to, and Perez plans to take all he’s learned with him as he makes the next step to college.
