Senior, Audrey Bucey, has been a part of the Carmel family since the third grade. Bucey is heavily involved with various aspects of the school. She has been a part of the student government association (SGA)  for four years. Through SGA, Bucey has planned many of the school dances such as prom and homecoming. Bucey also takes pride in leading the class of 2025’s lip sync every year, which has had multiple top finishes in the competition.

 Although involved heavily with the school, Bucey’s life outside of Carmel is a story of its own. Dance has been a prominent part of her life since she was around three years old. She started her dance career at the YMCA, but she later transferred to where she is now, Miller Street Dance Academy. She started dancing competitively at the age of six. Bucey competes in all styles of dance; however, lyrical and contemporary dance are her favorites. When Bucey was in the sixth grade, age twelve, she won the prestigious Junior Miss Dance of North Carolina. She has won many more awards and competitions recently, such as winning Miss Dance of North Carolina in her sophomore year. Bucey plans to participate in a dance team in college along with getting her degree.

After graduation in May, Bucey plans to go to college to pursue a degree in bioengineering. Post college, Bucey strives to go into the medical field to become an anesthesiologist. Those who know Bucey, know that this is one of her many passions, as Bucey plays a huge part in HOSA club at carmel. In fact, she is the secretary and treasurer of the club. Some of Bucey’s top schools include Michigan and The University of South Carolina.

 Always cheering Bucey on, either it being in dance or throughout her studies, is her wonderful family who love seeing her succeed.

Bucey has two older brothers. All of the Bucey children are each two years apart with both Nathan and Colin attending North Greenville and Auburn. Bucey’s mom and Dad are also both huge parts of her life attending most of her dance competitions. Her dad is well known around Bucey’s friend group as, “Super Steve.” Bucey also has a nine year old dog, Max, who is part of the family. The Bucey family loves spending time together and traveling the world.
