The Blue and Gold wanted to spread some love for a second year in row with the anonymous affirmations. A google form was sent to the school body where people could leave a little encouragement for anyone in Carmel’s high school. The below affirmations are listed in alphabetical order! Hopefully the love and positivity will encourage you this Valentine’s week!

• I am very grateful for Aaron because he has been so encouraging to me this year and has helped me focus on a lot of my goals. He has also allowed me to find a group that I like because of the Bible studies every Tuesday and Friday. He is very encouraging and likes to include everyone as much as he can.

• John is an awesome guy who is really fun to hang out with. He did an amazing job playing the “tin man” in a play once in 6th grade, and I can still see his artistic flair shining through in his life. One of his most defining aspects is his clothing. He loves his Nike techs, but you can see him wearing other things too. All around great dude!

• Luke is always a really uplifting and joyful person. He’s super creative and I always enjoy seeing the art he creates during class. Being around him really brightens my day and he’s really just a super kind and thoughtful individual.

• Thank you for always being the sweetest and your mom raised you so well, so I thank both of y’all. You have brought so much joy in my life when I was striving for help. God works miracles, and I believe him sending you to be part of my life was one of them. I pray for our relationship to strive with Christ as we both grow closer to God in spirit and faith.

• Tommy Kaminski is a 6,4 5 sport athlete who is a leader on and off the court who leads everybody he knows to become better. He has been the captain of my church league team the fierce fundamnetals and taught us all teamwork and the power of friendship. He averages 25 points and can score with ease while still moving the ball and always hitting the open man. Great Kid has a bright future ahead!

• I have known Roy since I joined Carmel in 4th grade. Roy isn’t one to boast, but his character speaks loud enough. Not only is Roy following in the steps of Christ, but he encourages people to follow him too. Roy is the kind of guy to hold your hand through dark times and come out smiling in victory with you. When I am around Roy I can trust him and that our future is bright.

• Ryan is mature beyond his years– he is intelligent and deeply thoughtful, and he offers his words with consideration. I know Ryan will go far in his next four years!! His work ethic and dedication to being great will carry him far.

• Being new to Carmel, it can always be hard to not know the students or other coworkers. Sam has been so kind and caring to me and welcomes me with a smile as she comes into my classroom! I am so thankful I got to teach her and her thoughtfulness has not gone unnoticed!
• Sam is one of the most consistent, kind, and servant hearted people I know. She is always looking for ways to make other’s lives a little easier, and she does it all with a smile and calming presence! She is just so intentional with who she is.

• Thomas is such an easy person to talk with! He can carry and lead any conversation with ease, and will include everyone around him to make them feel comfortable. He is just an overall fun person to be around! 

William Bridgeman

• William Bridgman is a great student and an even better basketball player. When seeing his basketball games he always wins and always carries his team. He’s kind to everyone while being a good student athlete. He is truly a character to look up to.
• William Bridgeman is an amazing person. William demonstrates his kindness and Christ-like leadership skills through his amazing basketball talents. William Bridgeman plays on a church league basketball team and is constantly showing support and words of kindness to his teammates. William also demonstrates his kindness through his leadership role at the Local Scoop. William has been working at the Local Scoop for almost a year and has shown his love and kindness to little kids while giving them ice cream. He also shares his Christ like experiences to his other employees. He also strives for good grades and loves cars.
