Christmas time is here and so are many opportunities to serve during this time of giving. Christmas is a holiday to celebrate the gift of Christ, and that gift deserves to shared to the world🧑🏼🎄 🎅🏼

Host a food drive 🍞
You can give during the holiday season by donating your time and food to people who are in need. This can be as simple as driving around and handing out pre-made food or can be getting together with a company and holding a whole event.

Angel Tree – Salvation Army 🌲
Donate a to a family in need in the Charlotte area. Bring another family some Christmas joy and partner with The Salvation Army to do this!

Blood drives 🩸
There are multiple blood drives from December 10th to the 16th that are giving light show tickets to blood donors. This save someone’s life and give them a miracle!

Toy drive 🎁
Help distribute toys to support children all over the world. A little goes a long way! Charlotte already has a platform for this so it is quite accessible to students as well as teachers. To get involved, visit the link below.
Load a shoe box 👞 👟 🥾 🥿 👠 👡
Partner with Samaritan’s Purse and make a shoebox to get to a child for Christmas. You can pack your shoebox with toys, souvenirs or just anything that you think a child would need or want. Operation Christmas Child is a Christian organization that spreads gifts and evangelism around the world to those in need. To participate with this group use the line below!

Reach out to a non-profit organization 🫂
There are many wonderful non-profit organizations in Charlotte that need volunteers over the holiday season. You can volunteer for many of the groups listed above or even participate in other organizations around Charlotte. They are easy to reach out to and are welcoming to new people who want to support their cause!
Why is this important:
The holidays are meant to be a time of giving, thankfulness and worship, and there are wonderful ways to share the holiday spirit. If you find yourself unable to serve in these ways this Christmas, simply showing kindness, spreading joy and reminding others of the true gift of Christmas is an act of service in itself!
