Elle Weiler, a current freshman here at Carmel, been a student here at school since kindergarten, and she plans to stay here all of high school.  Weiler’s younger brother, Caden, is in the middle school at Carmel. Weiler, her parents and her brother all share their golden retriever named Gilligan.

Weiler in actively involved in the sports department, as she is a part of the varsity cross country team and women’s soccer. She has run for the cross country team since 7th grade and has continued to grow as a runner. She excelled in middle school XC as she served as captain or the team. Her first high school season was a success, as she qualified for states! Weiler express a hope run throughout her time in high school. 

Furthermore, Weiler is an asset to the Carmel’s women’s soccer team. She explains that she started her soccer career in 5th grade as a right winger. She has been playing for the school since 6th grade, and in 8th grade, she played competitively for the Charlotte Soccer Academy. When asked what she was looking forward to in this year’s school soccer season, she says, “…the beach trip is next week, which is really fun; also, just having a winning record.”

Weiler has many hobbies like listening to music, walking her dog and playing sports. She enjoys taking her dog on long walks and playing various games with Gilligan. Her favorite music genre to listen to is country, and her favorite singer as of right now is Sam Hunt.

When reflecting on her educational experience, Weiler stated that both Mrs. Brinkley and Mrs. Mendiata have had a positive impact on her as a student. Alongside Coach Fox, Weiler compliments the people who have been put in her life to help enhance her overall growth as a young person!
