Charlotte Scott, a current junior, is well-known and a loved face around the halls of Carmel.
Scott grew up in Charlotte, living in the same house for most of her life, though she recently moved over the summer. She grew up in a very Christian family and claimed that it has been such a privilege for her to be able to be surrounded by the Christian community. Her parents have been influential in her walk with the Lord.
Scott has three older brothers, Josh, Andrew and TJ, that she adores. She also has a 14-year-old white lab named Grace and a 2-year-old black lab named Carter.
Outside of school, Scott loves to swim, as she has been participating in the sport since she was around five. She has continued to keep up with it through her neighborhood summer league.
Scott joined the Carmel community in 2022 during her freshman year of high school. She tries to stay involved with the school by participating in competitions like lip sync and powderpuff, going to school games and keeping up with the new young life events available to the students. Scott has many unique, God-given talents that she gets to share with the world. She loves to sing and dance, spreading that joy through Carmel’s theatre department.
Scott states, “I am really passionate about worship. I love to worship God and see others worshipping. I joined the Ignite band this year and it has been so good for me. Every class we have time to sit and worship the Lord as a community, and it is seriously what I look forward to every day.” Scott also mentioned how worshipping God has helped her deal with any stresses or anxieties that she might have and that the relationships she has developed through the Ignite band, mostly with Charlie King and Mr. Stroup, have been a blessing.
Scott’s plans for the future consist of hopefully going to college and pursuing theater and ministry, though she stated that God will take her where she needs to be even if it does not follow her plans. Scott said, “It all depends on where God leads me and what else I end up discovering I’m passionate about.”
Scott’s ultimate dream is to “travel the world” following different Broadway shows. She said, “I would really enjoy traveling and seeing different places, cultures and practices while doing something I truly enjoy. If I pursued ministry in college, I think that also presents an opportunity to travel and spread the gospel while learning about other cultures and practices. Whether I go to college or not, my end goal is to do something I love with the people I love.”
Scott radiates light and kindness to those around her. She is a talented and passionate influence in the school!
